An excellent textbook An outstanding biochemistry textbook presented in a functionally and clinically relevant manner.Although there are numerous biochemistry textbooks available, none of the available texts presents the information in a dynamic, easy to read manner as Dr. Engelking's textbook does. Numerous diagrams in the book are excellent visual aids to understand clinical biochemistry. One emphasizes biomolecules and their reactions, while the other concerns itself with biochemical explanations of physiological phenomena. It should be strongly considered by those seeking a clear, lucid and readable account of the metabolic machinery of animals.
