Excellent Escapism John Ottinger III I like themed anthologies. I like it when and editor takes a topic or notion and collects a series of stories around it. It allows me as a reader to have general background on the tale, and provides for easier reading of short fiction. In Misspelled, Julie E. Czerneda has collected 17 humorous tales about what happens when a spell goes wrong. The collection has s. Mostly good stories, annoying narrator For the most part, the stories contained in this volume were entertaining and enjoyable. There were a few that relied a little too heavily on a "twist" for the ending, or that seemed to have been written solely for something to hang a pun on, but even those were enjoyable.The narrator addition at the front and back of each story was just annoying. I think it was . Kindle edition unreadable due to strange characters Chris Laning and I don't mean the characters in the book, I never got to meet them. I agree with another reviewer that the Kindle edition was extremely hard to read due to frequent weird characters in the type. One in ten characters sounds about right. I did return this for a refund.The book does sound intriguing and I'd be happy to give it another try if I can be assured the
