"Excellent for beginners" according to Amazon Customer. I've always enjoyed woodworking, so it seemed only natural to give wood carving a shot. This book definitely helped me to get started and has a good section on sharpening your knives. There are a handful of typos and a few captions that don't match the pictures, but that's ok. I would like to have seen a few more projects, but I'm sure the authors did not want to overwhelm the beginner carver. All i. "The ultimate beginners guide to Wood Carving." according to A Customer. Hats off.or in this case, boots off, to Larry Green!. The "First Projects for Wood Carvers" is a wish come true for beginners. Clear, step by step instructions for creating three seperate projects.
