DESCRIPTION:

… The volume is addressed to undergraduate students seriously interested in mathematics and is accessible to students before they start taking graduate classes. 58 (4), 2013). 1279, 2014)“The authors included in their book some topics from topology, calculus of real functions of one and several real variables … elements of functional analysis, as well as some applications. It can be used by graduate students in mathematics and researchers in mathematics and other areas … . Cobza, Studia Universitatis Babes-Bolyai, Math, Vol. Researchers in pure and applied nonlinear analysis will find interesting material in this volume.” (Teodora-Liliana Rdulescu, zbMATH, Vol. The instructors can recommend the book as a supplementary material for their courses.” (S. From the review

It rigorously treats topics such as multivariable differential calculus, Lebesgue integral, vector calculus and differential equations. After having built on a solid foundation of topology and linear algebra, the text later expands into more advanced topics such as complex analysis, differential forms, calculus of variations, differential geometry and even functional analysis. The book begins at the level of an undergraduate student assuming only basic knowledge of calculus in one variable. Overall, this text provides a unique and well-rounded introduction to the highly developed and multi-faceted subject of mathematical analysis, as understood by a mathematician today.

Michail said Content perfect - Low print quality , scrap binding. The content is really excellent. This is a merit to the authors. However the book quality is extremely poor. For a publisher like Springer/Birkhauser & for the price level of the book, you expect to get something more than a cheap printout. Apparently this is not an exception. Other Springer titles I have bough , suffer from the same problems. If you spent some time , to examine the reviews in Amazon for other popular Springer titles , you will encounter comments similar to this , regarding the printing quality. Stated in other words , you have to forget the excellent book quality produced by Springe. A. Daniela said Perfect for those who want to quickly learn the Analysis. The book is compact and demonstrations of theorems short and efficient.Maybe too few solved exercises.Perfect for those who want to quickly learn the Analysis.
