The perfect primer for anyone about to enter Indian Country or would like to know how the contours of the laws connect. As a current tribal prosecutor this book was essential to help me understand what preceded the reservations, Anglo law, and how to try to harmonize tradition with modernity.. Good read Futbol Book had a lot of writing on it but I did buy it used so can't really complain. I liked the book
