This book covers an important hole in the data-mining literature. It is the first work that gives a step by step introduction into text-mining tasks using MATLAB.While MATLAB certainly is not the tool I would choose for text-mining tasks involving very large datasets it can be very useful to help understanding the basic concepts involved.The book does a very good job in explain these concepts and how to solve text-mining tasks with a few lines of Matlab code. I can imagine it as a perfect guide for self-study or as the basic literature to accompany an int. Good textbook Matlab is the most used computer language in today universities.
