A Practitioner's Guide Indeed I purchased and used this book as part of my research on contemporary investment analysis techniques. Kodukula and Papudesu do a very good job of placing ROA in context with general valuation approaches, and explaining how it is accomplished in enough detail to equip working investment analysts to exercise the technique.Lets face it, no matter how you approach it, this is a tough and sophisticated topic to write about. Mutt This book is not a bad introduction to real options for people who have some corporate finance background and who work in project management specifically. I do think it is one of the better introductory texts to real options for those who have to actually use it, but I am also highly spoiled.Before I read this, I was fortunate enough to get Shockley's Real Options Valuation book, which has a heavy emphasis on applications. It contains a mind-blowing number of. "Difficult to follow" according to Claudia Furth. Some good material but I really found the writing style to be hard to follow and at times confusing. This is a bit of an obscure topic to begin with in my opinion but I think the authors could have done a better job of making the book more readable.
