I read this book because I had just finished 'Under the wide and starry night" 'by Nancy Horan which is Robert Louis Stevenson 's biography I had not read a lot of his books and wanted to have read at least one of them.Kidnapped is an interesting story but you do need to know a bit of Scottish history for it plays around 1750 or there abouts.. Kidnapped The last pages have been excluded from the book! Although the last page is given as 222 of 222 it is obviously incomplete.. I thoroughly enjoy it. Sandra B. I read this classic years ago, it was much easier to read this time. I thoroughly enjoy it.
